Prepare a document for signing

Upload your PDF, assign fields and check the request before sending.

Browse guides

Choose your starting point

Open Documents and create a document from your PDF. To reuse a layout and signer roles, start from a template. For a file in Google Docs or Drive, follow the Google import guide.

Add the people who need to sign

Enter each signer’s name and email address. Check the addresses before sending. Adding a signer and sending a request are separate steps.

Review the fields

Open the field editor and check each page. Assign each field to the person who should fill it, and choose which fields they must complete.

For a fillable PDF, Korala can import the existing fields when you add the first signer. Review those assignments before adding more people: the imported fields may belong to different signers. If no fields appear, place the fields the document needs.

Check before sending

Review the document, recipient details and field assignments. Save your changes before you send. Check delivery and access options when the request offers them.

To send several existing documents together to one recipient, use the grouped-request flow described in Track signing requests. The documents must meet that flow’s eligibility rules.

Follow the request

Open Signing requests to check progress. A recipient finishing their part does not mean the final file is ready: other signers or file preparation may remain. Download files when Korala makes them available.

If something fails

Read the error before retrying. If Korala saved a request but could not send it, open that request and retry sending it. Creating another request could duplicate your work.
